Three other Officers also move up, three reassigned

Todd M Conforti was sworn is as Deputy Chief of Police joining Chief David P. Sabagh and Deputy Chief Perry T. Mayers as the guiding force behind the Police Department. Prior to becoming third in command of the Department, Deputy Chief Conforti very successfully ran the Vice Control Bureau for six years as a Sergeant and Lieutenant.
Three other members of the Department also have new ranks and assignments. Sergeant Scott C. Buehler was promoted to Lieutenant and will take over the Vice Control Bureau. Detective David O'Dowd was promoted to Sergeant and will become a Patrol Supervisor in the Uniform Division. Detective Tyrone Williams, Jr. also was promoted to Sergeant and will assume command of the soon to be restored Community Policing Bureau.
Along with the promotions, three Officers were transferred to the Investigative Division. Officer Thomas V. Liloia: From Officer in the Community Policing Bureau to Detective in the Records and Identification Bureau. Officer Elisa M. MacLean: From Officers in the Uniform Division to Detective in the Juvenile Aid Bureau. Officer Joseph K. Anderson: From Officers in the Uniform Division to Detective in the Detective Bureau. |

Juvenile Aid Bureau Now handling Bicycle Registrations |

With the temoprary closing of the Community Policing Bureau, the Police Department would like to advise all citizens that bicycle registrations will be handled by the Juvenile Aid Bureau.
Anyone wishing to register a bicycle may contact them at (973) 509-4733 or go to Police headquarters at 647 Bloomfield Ave. during business hours. |
