County Offers Home Improvement Assistance PDF Print E-mail

Essex County’s Housing & Community Development Division is offering financial assistance to low and moderate income homeowners who need to make improvements to their one to three-family home.  Types of eligible improvements include heating system, roofing, plumbing, electrical, windows, siding and waterproofing.  The program is funded by The US Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant program.  The deferred loan must be repaid only if the house is sold within 20 years.
