Parking Permit Rates
Effective the current renewal cycle, for permits valid April 1st through September 30, the following are the rates for all Municipal parking permits in Montclair:
Permits are issued for 6 months and pro-rated as the cycle progresses.

Please note - there are waiting lists for most daytime parking permits. Please contact the Parking Authority to be added to a waiting list.
Starting April 1, 2007, the on-street parking meters fee was increased to $0.75 per hour, while off-street parking meters remain at $0.50 per hour. One of the goals of the Township’s master plan is to encourage off-street parking whenever possible. This new parking meter rate structure works towards accomplishing this goal. In addition, all parking meters will be enforced Monday – Saturday, 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
To help increase the public’s awareness of the meter hours, the Montclair Parking Authority marked each meter with clear signage indicating the hours and days of operation, as well as the rates. These signs are color coded to easily identify the duration of the meter.
At the Crescent Deck at Montclair Center, parking rates are as follows (as of January 1, 2010):

Hourly Rates at the Deck (Monday – Saturday) are: $1.00 / hr with a maximum of $12.00 / day.

Township of Montclair Municipal Building
Effective July 1, 2009 overnight parking of any duration will not be allowed on any township street unless a valid parking permit is displayed in the vehicle. Streets where overnight parking is already permitted by ordinance are unaffected by this change. Parking on all other streets, which was previously limited to 30 minutes between the hours of 2:00 - 5:00 a.m. shall no longer be allowed without a special overnight parking permit.
