The Montclair Parking Authority, located at 205 Claremont Ave., 3rd floor, is responsible for the issuance of parking permits for the municipal lots in the Township of Montclair as well as overnight street parking permits for the 12 streets in town for which parking is allowed by ordinance.
One-Use Permits:
Valid for use in all municipal parking lots as well as one night on-street parking;
fee $5.00 each. The passes are so available for sale at the Crescent Deck located behind Church st.
Overnight Permits:
N permits (Night permits/Off-street) - valid 6:00 pm - 8:00 am Monday - Friday as well as all day Saturday and Sunday in permit spaces and metered (off-street) spaces 7 pm - 8 am; Fee = $240 / 6 months. Download N Permit application form.
S permits (Night permits/On-street) - valid 6 pm - 8 am Monday - Saturday; Fee $240 / 6 mos. Download S Permit application form
Daytime Permits:
C permits (Central Business district) - valid 6 am - 8 pm Monday - Saturday; Fee - $300 / 6 months. Download C Permit application form.
W permits (Walnut & Watchung lots) - valid 6 am - 7 pm Monday - Saturday; Fee - $300 / 6 months. Download W Permit application form. *(Note: Currently only permit renewals are being processed)
U permits (Upper Montclair lots) - valid 6 am - 7 pm Monday - Saturday; Fee - $300 / 6 months. Download U Permit application form. * (Note: Currently only permit renewals are being processed.)
MH permits (Montclair Heights lot) - valid 6 am - 7 pm Monday - Saturday; Fee - $300 / 6 months. Download MH Permit application form.
B permits (Bay street parking deck) - valid 24 hours / day; 7 days/wk.; Fee - $300 / 6 months. Download B Permit application form. * (Note: Currently only permit renewals are being processed.)
G permits (Grove street lot) - valid 6 am - 7 pm Monday - Saturday; Fee $300 / 6 months. Download G Permit application form.
Other Permits:
HS permits (daytime street parking/ student parking on valid school days) - Fee $90 / semester. Please obtain verification form and application directly from the High School.
