The State Health Department requires all cats and dogs to be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. Licenses may be obtained from the Health Dept at 205 Claremont Avenue, Third Floor, Montclair, New Jersey.
The Dog Licensing year runs from January to December.
Spayed or Neutered dog fees are $8.00
Non-Spayed or Neutered fees are $11.00
(Copy of valid rabies certificate must be presented at time of licensing)
The Cat Licensing year runs from September to August
Spayed/Neutered Fees are - $6.00 (Senior Citizens pay $3.00)
Additional Cat Fee - $3.00
Non-spayed/neutered $9.00 (Senior Citizens pay $6.00)
Additional Cat Fee - $6.00
(Copy of valid rabies certificate must be presented at time of licensing)
