EXECUTIVE SESSION
 January 15, 2008

The Council of the Township of Montclair, in the County of Essex, met in the Conference Room in the Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Avenue, for an Executive Session at 10:10 P.M.

Present: Mayor Remsen, Deputy Mayor Michaelson and Councilors Freier, Lang, Schlager and Tobin
Absent: Mattox

STATEMENT OF SUNSHINE NOTICE

COMCAST CONTRACT: Guests Jerry Kapner and Rey Redington.

Mr. Kapner presented the following proposal from Comcast

• 15 year renewal
• $90,000 initial grant plus a $5,000 annual stipend
• Appearances before the Council on a quarterly basis regarding “customer service” issues
• Provision of a “second channel.”

It was the Council’s consensus to move forward. Township Attorney Alan Trembulak will prepare the appropriate resolution.

The Council thanked the committee for their outstanding efforts.

Township Manager, Joseph Hartnett provided an update. The Council discussed several strategies for moving forward. Township Attorney Alan Trembulak recommended that all counterclaims be sent to Department of Community Affairs for consideration.

At 11:20 P.M. on motion made by Mayor Remsen and duly seconded, the Executive Session was adjourned by unanimous vote.
