The Department of Community Services is pleased to announce that beginning Saturday, June 28, 2008, the department is adding electronics and computer equipment to the list of materials accepted at the Recycling Drop-Off Center every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The DCS yard is located at 219 N. Fullerton Avenue.
Items accepted: include: central processing units(CPUs), circuit boards, disc drives, integrated circuits (ICs), mainframes, modems, monitors, printers, processors, tape drives, telephone systems, wire & cables, cell phones, VCR/CD/DVD players, cell phones, radios, televisions (no big-screens or consoles), laptops, keyboards, mice, stereos, camcorders, and electronic games. The equipment collected will be recycled by Advanced Recovery, Inc.
The electronics and computer equipment drop-off will be open to residents only - electronics/computer equipment will not be accepted from businesses. Businesses wishing to recycle old computers and electronics with Advanced Recovery may do so by contacting them directly at (845) 858-8809 or www.advancedrecovery.com.
