The Department of Community Services will be accepting light iron and clean metal materials at the recycling drop-off, 219 North Fullerton Avenue on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., beginning Saturday, September 20, 2008. Metal and iron items such as metal poles (without concrete attached), fences, file cabinets, desk, doors, and lawn mowers (with oil and gas removed) are a few of the items accepted.

Recycling the light iron and clean metal materials instead of placing them out for bulk waste saves the Township of Montclair $83 per ton in disposal, while we receive $250- $350 per ton to recycle them.
