ORDINANCES – SECOND READING/ADOPTION

1. Refunding bond ordinance providing for payment of amounts owing to others for taxes levied in and by the Township of Montclair, appropriating appropriating $960,000 therefor and authorizing the issuance of $960,000 bonds or notes of the Township for financing the cost thereof. Introduced and passed first reading October 21, 2008. Is there anyone present who wishes to be heard in relation to the proposed ordinance? CLOSE HEARING. VOTE. (08-42)
2. Bond Ordinance providing for various capital improvements of the township, appropriating the aggregate amount of $2,000,700 bonds or notes of the Township to finance part of the cost thereof. Introduced and passed first reading October 29, 2008. Is there anyone present who wishes to be heard in relation to the proposed ordinance? CLOSE HEARING. VOTE. (08-44)
3. Ordinance amending and supplementing Section 327-5 of the Township Code (The “Vehicles and Traffic Ordinance”) to designate a portion of Edgemont Road as a one-way street. D. Ordinance amending Sections 230-5 and 230-15 of the Township Code (the “Parking Lots Ordinance) to extend the time period for permit parking in Municipal Parking Lots (08-48)

E. Ordinance amending and supplementing Chapter 347 of the Township Code (the “Zoning Ordinance”) to establish a mandatory sign requirement for capital projects (08-49)

F. Ordinance to amend the Traffic Ordinance – Multiway stop intersection at Chestnut Street and North Fullerton Avenue (08-50) (Township Engineer)

G. Ordinance to amend the Traffic Ordinance – Multiway stop intersection at Cedar Avenue and High Street (08-51) (Township Engineer)

Consent Agenda
All items listed with an asterisk are considered to be routine by the Township Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember or citizen so request, in which event the item will be removed from the General Order of Business and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. The Council welcomes public comment at its meetings.
