Montclair Township took another step toward implementation of the Quiet Zone proposed to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) in 2008 by publishing a Notice of Detailed Plan and Memoranda of Record. The Memorandum of Record for each crossing documents the supplemental safety measures and other improvements required to establish the Pre-Rule Quiet Zone by June 24, 2010.

Written comments on the detailed plan and/or memoranda of record will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on July 10, 2009.
