Following completion of the recent revaluation of all properties in Montclair by Appraisal Systems Incorporated (ASI), the company is offering a transition period for taxpayers who were unable to get an appointment to question their new assessments. 

If a taxpayer was previously unable to call for an appointment with ASI, the company will review the property record card and the revaluation process with the taxpayer by appointment beginning tomorrow, March 1st and continuing through March 16th.  However, to schedule an appointment taxpayers must call ASI at 201-493-8530 by the end of the business day March 9th.  After that, taxpayers wishing to challenge their revaluations will only be able to do so by filing an appeal with the Essex County Board of Taxation.
