B. Bond ordinance providing for various capital improvements of the Township, appropriating the aggregate amount of $3,359,000 therefor and authorizing issuance of $3,191,050 bonds or notes of the Township to finance part of the cost thereof. Introduced and passed first reading November 1, 2011.

(O_11_073) (Councilor Lewis)(This ordinance appropriates $3,359,000 for various capital improvements such as acquisition of 2 31 yd packers for recycling at a cost of $450,000; acquisition of various vehicles including a pickup truck, a mason dumptruck and miscellaneous snow equipment and the rebuilding of snow plows for $180,000; acquisition of various equipment including signage, traffic signals, poles, etc. for $63,000; miscellaneous equipment including impact guns and jack stands for $10,000; taking down existing damaged trees, crane work, planting, etc. for $210,000 and engineering costs for street projects, drainage projects and improvements to safety, traffic calming, pedestrian walkways and bicycle lanes for $2,100,000)

C. Bond ordinance providing for various Water Utility improvements of the Township, appropriating the aggregate amount of $715,000 therefor and authorizing the issuance of $679,250 bonds or notes of the Township to finance part of the cost thereof. Introduced and passed first reading November 1, 2011.

(O_11_074) (Deputy Mayor Weller-Demming)(This ordinance appropriates $715,000 for improvements such as repairs and relining of the water system including Watchung to Bloomfield Ave in the amount of $325,000; modification and upgrading of the Lorraine and Rand Wells in the amount of $140,000; water valve replace for the water utility through the Township in the amount of $25,000; environmental clean-up at Watchung Pumping Station in the amount of $125,000; replacement of vehicular equipment for Water Bureau for $10,000; upgrades to security at wells and pumping stations for $10,000 and water tank upgrades in the amount of $80,000)

D. An ordinance to amend the Special Improvement District of the Township of
Montclair, New Jersey. Introduced and passed first reading November 1, 2011.

The Council welcomes public comment at its meetings. However, because of the constraints of time and in fairness to all members of the public, the Council asks that you please limit your comments to three minutes, in order to allow everyone an opportunity to be heard. Anyone authorized by an organization or group to speak on their behalf will be allowed to do so for an additional three minutes.
