The Township of Montclair, NJ has had in effect a locomotive whistle ban for over 30 years, pursuant to which railroad operating companies do not sound whistles at any of our 12 grade crossings during the hours of 7 pm – 7 am. |

Township Council passed the Ordinance Amending the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 347 of the Code of the Township of Montclair on April 11, 2006. This Zoning Ordinance establishes building height and setback parameters for new building structures in Montclair.
