The following is a listing of all permits issued by the Montclair Parking Utility.

To obtain a permit, please contact us at 973.509.4997 or visit us at 205 Claremont Ave., 3rd. Floor, hours of operation 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Monday - Friday.

Please remember to bring your license plate # with you. Valid forms of payment are cash, check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

To renew your permit online:  https://montclairpa.t2hosted.com 

Please use your last name as your user ID and your current permit # as the password.  If you are renewing a Montclair Heights permit please eliminate the "H" from the permit #.

ONE-USE PERMITS:

Good in all municpal parking lots (with the exception of daytime in the 205 Claremont lot and daytime in the Bay Street Parking Deck) and one-use overnight on-street: fee $5.00 each

Please note - these passes are also available for sale at the Crescent Deck located behind Church St.

OVERNIGHT PERMITS:

N Permits (Night permits): valid in all municipal parking lots; fee $270/ 6 months, Currently available. Download N Permit application form.

S Permits: S Permits: (Nighttime on-street) fee $270 / 6 months - valid on the following streets in the designated permit areas only/must be a resident of that particular street (Elm St., Mission St., Myrtle Ave., New St., N. Fullerton Ave., Pine St., Plymouth Ave., Prospect Ave.,St. Luke's Pl., S. Fullerton Ave., Talbot St., The Crescent, Trinity Pl./Myrtle Pl., Union St., William St., Forest St., Orange Rd.There is currently a waiting list for permits on N. Fullerton Ave., Union St. and Prospect Ave.

DAYTIME PERMITS/ 24 hour TRAIN PERMITS:

C permits(Central Business District): daytime parking permit valid in 10 lots in the downtown area, $300 /6 months - currently no waiting list. Download C Permit application form.

W permits (Walnut & Watchung lots): daytime parking permit. Fee $360/ 6 months for Transit and $300 for non-transit/Merchants - wait list for permits approx. 6 months for Walnut and 3 years for Watchung. Download W Permit application form.

U permits (Upper Montclair lots): daytime parking permit. Fee $360 / 6 months for Transit and $300 for Non-transit/Merchants- wait list for permits approx. 4 years. Download U Permit application form.

MH permits (Montclair Heights lot): daytime parking permit. Fee $300 / 6 months - currently available. Download MH Permit application form.

Mountain Ave. Permits (U permit valid at Mountain Ave. only):  Fee $300 / 6 months - currently available. 

B Permits: Valid 7 days a week,24 hrs/day in the Bay Street Deck only. Fee $360 / 6 months; approx. wait time 5 years. Download B Permit application form.

G Permits: (GroveSt. lot) - daytime parking permit. Fee $300 / 6 months - currently available. Download G Permit application form.

OTHER PERMITS:

HS Permits: Daytime permit parking for High School students on designated streets.

THE CRESCENT DECK AT MONTCLAIR CENTER PERMIT TYPES:

'DAY' - Valid 7 days a week, 7:00 a.m.. TO 7:00 p.m.; fee $70 / month;  currently available

'NIGHT' - Valid 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday-Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday. Fee $60 / month; currently available

'24-HR' - Valid 7 days a week, 24 hour a day. Fee $130/month; currently available
