Geese Clearing with Border Collies to Commence Dec 7 in Edgemont and Yantacaw Parks PDF Print E-mail
Community Services

Friday, December 4, 2015

The Township of Montclair has contracted Geese Chasers LLC™ -- a professional geese clearing service to commence geese removal activities Monday, December 7, in Edgemont and Yantacaw parks, using highly trained border collies. Geese Chasers' border collies are specially bred and trained to herd or “harass” geese without causing them harm, while discouraging them from congregating in the parks.

During the initial clearing phase, the border collies and handlers will make multiple daily visits to the two parks in an effort to ensure a virtually geese-free environment.

NOTE TO DOG WALKERS: dogs must be kept on leads at all times -- they must not interfere with the working dogs.
