NJ Transit Fireworks Express

Take a ride on the Fourth of July NJ Transit Fireworks Express – it’s free!

New Jersey Transit will run a free "Fireworks Express" train service to and from the Mountain Avenue Station on July 4th. Park your car at station stops Bay Street, Walnut Street, Watchung Avenue, Upper Montclair and board the train to Mountain Avenue (Mountainside Park).

Your return trip is also free of charge. Trains will depart stations every 20 minutes beginning at 6:30 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE:

Trains will pick up and drop off passengers from and to the Bay Street, Walnut Street, Watchung Avenue, and Upper Montclair stations only. There will be no Fireworks Express service from the Montclair Heights or Montclair State University train stations. However, free parking is also available at the Montclair State University Red Hawk Parking Deck (off Normal Avenue). From there, free shuttle buses will transport you to and from the fireworks site.

Bring the family for an evening of great music, food, and kids’ entertainment beginning at 7:00 p.m. Fireworks display starts at 9:00 p.m.– bring a blanket and sit back and enjoy the show.
