Township to Honor Assemblyman Thomas P. Giblin

Serving NJ's 34th Legislative District

Thomas P. GiblinThomas P. Giblin serves in the New Jersey General Assembly where he represents the 34th legislative district. Now in his third term, Assemblyman Thomas P. Giblin continues to listen to his constituents and represent them in Trenton.

Assemblyman Giblin was born and raised in Vailsburg but has lived in Montclair for many years where he raised five children. He is a member and supporter of many Montclair organizations including the Friends of the Bellevue Avenue Branch Library, Ancient Order of Hibernians - Michael L. Delahunty Division 9, Knights of Columbus Council 1277, The One Hundred Club of Montclair, and the Boy Scouts of America. He is a parishoner at Immaculate Conception Church where he also serves on the Board of Immaculate Conception High School.

Giblin has previously served as Grand Marshal of three St. Patrick's Day parades: in Newark in 1975, in Nutley in 1984, and in Woodbridge in 2011.

He has also previously served the public as Essex County Surrogate and as a member of the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

In additon to his work as an Assemblyman, Giblin serves as the Business Manager of Operating Engineers Local 68 and as President of the Essex-West Hudson Labor Council.
