Water Conservation Alert PDF Print E-mail

Tuesday, August 25, 2015

lawn sprinklerThe Montclair Water Bureau has issued an end-of-summer Water Conservation Alert to all customers. Due to a dry summer season, even though we are not yet in a drought emergency, we need to reduce excessive water use outside our homes.

Residents are asked to only water lawns and gardens when absolutely necessary: if it hasn’t rained in one full week, residents should water just once per week, in the early morning or early evening (never mid-day), for an hour. Watering deeply but less frequently builds a stronger, healthier, drought-resistant root system.
