Transit Alert: Current Road Closures

Major Road Closure: Grove St b/w Walnut St. and Bloomfield Ave* 
When: Tuesday, November 19 to Monday, November 25

* Please Note: These road repairs are part of a major PSEG gas line project. Because of the scale of the project:

- Grove St. traffic will be detoured between Bloomfield Ave and Grove St, pushing all northbound traffic including NJ Transit bus lines east and west on Bloomfield Ave. Any NJ Transit buses and all traffic traveling south on Grove St. will be detoured east on Oxford towards Ridgewood Ave into the Borough of Glenridge. Traffic on Walnut St. will be detoured onto Christopher St. and also detoured on Walnut St. at Pine St. Traffic on Claremont Ave. will be detoured on Greenwood Ave. and also on Cloverhill Pl. There will be many Officers in the area assisting with traffic control blocking the entire area while the road is being repaired.

PSE&G and their subcontractor, Tilcon, will also be milling and paving the following roads from 11/19 to 11/25. 

- Parkside Pl. and Mountainside Park Terrace off Highland Ave. on 11/19, Tuesday, paving on 11/21.

- Mount Hebron between Highland Ave. /Upper Mountain. Ave on 11/19 Tuesday, paving on 11/22.

- Highland Ave. starting from the Passaic County line working north into Montclair to the entrance of Mountainside Park near Windsor Pl. on 11/18 Monday, pave on 11/21.

- They will be striping/ lane marking all the above paved roads tentatively on 11/25, Monday.
