Municipal Court

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Montclair Municipal Court is conducting court in a virtual setting. The Municipal Court has resumed hearing local ordinances and criminal matters.

Please go to the sign-up form to sign up for a video court session which will be conducted using the Zoom video conferencing app.

To avoid the need  for a virtual court appearance, you may contest your traffic violation via Online Dispute Resolution which can be accessed at

Please refer to the Offenses Eligible for Dispute Case Work Flow list to see if you have been charged with an eligible offense.

The Municipal Court office schedules cases for hearings, accepts bail, and maintains records of criminal and traffic tickets for attorneys, defendants, residents, and the general public.

Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
