MPD Marks Autism Awareness Month

The Montclair Police Department (MPD), in honor of April being National Autism Awareness Month, invites Montclair residents to come out and register loved ones with special needs in the Department's special needs database. By registering, officers in the field will have valuable information regarding your loved one should he/she go missing.

Officers will also be collecting donations for a local charity or program that benefits those with Autism. Anyone making a monetary donation of $10 or more will receive an MPD Autism Awareness patch.

In-person registration will be available on the following dates:

Saturday, April 10 and Saturday, April 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on South Park Street between Bloomfield Avenue and Church Street.

For more information, contact Ofc. Paul Rusiniak of the Community Service Unit at 973-509-4776 or email at prusiniak@montclairnjusa.org.
