Meeting Dates

The Civil Rights Commission (CRC) meets at 205 Claremont Avenue. These meetings will have an allocated slot open to the public for public comment on issues pertaining to civil rights in Montclair. This section will typically begin at 7pm. These meeting dates reflect the selected (typically 3rd) Thursdays of each calendar month of 2025. No meeting is held in August and no public meeting is held in December. (The CRC may meet in Executive session in December as appropriate).

The CRC will note only the holidays that are followed by the Township of Montclair's website. The CRC typically will not adjust dates otherwise. If citizens are unable to attend a given meeting, they are urged to review the minutes that are adopted after a subsequent meeting. You may then engage via email, the public comment form or text/voice.

Guidelines for public comment include all items below.

1. We encourage you to use this form (Montclair CRC Public Comments / Comentarios públicos). Alternatively, we request that you email civilrightscommission@montclairnjusa.org or call on +1.973.307.0366 if you wish to participate.

2. We request that you complete the form, email, or call us a minimum of 48 hours before the scheduled meeting. We will prioritize those who have completed the form and/or emailed us ahead of time. Others may speak after.

3. All public comment portions are expected to occur in a respectful and cooperative manner. There will be no tolerance for intimidating or threatening behavior towards CRC commissioners or other citizens.
