How to Recycle in Montclair

Reminders:

• Garbage and recycling cans and bulky waste are to be put out for collection between 6:00 p.m. on the day preceding a scheduled collection and 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. (See 292-23 of the Township Code.)
• Garbage and recycling cans must be covered, made of rigid plastic or metal, sized not more than 35 gallons and weighing no more than 50 lbs. Only 3 garbage cans per household may be put out for collection, there is no limit for recycling.
• Use of covers prevents the contents from being blown away or getting wet. Wet paper ruins its recyclability and reduces its value.
• Recycling and electronic waste drop-off hours: Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Public Works Yard, 219 N. Fullerton Avenue
