Career Opportunities

To be eligible for employment with the Township of Montclair, the following residential preference applies:

  1. Residents of the Town of Montclair
  2. Residents of Essex County
  3. Residents of the State of New Jersey

All job vacancies are advertised in municipal buildings, community colleges, unemployment offices, NJLM, and various social media platforms. Applications must be submitted online.

The application process includes:

  • Reviewing all applications
  • Logging applications
  • Forwarding applications to department heads and the Township Manager for approval
