Tax bills are being mailed as of this week (July 28th - August 1), due to a delay in the Tax Collection office receiving the certified tax rate. As a result - the grace period for the bill has been extended to September 5.
On December 7, 2020, the Planning Board adopted a resolution establishing procedures for remote meetings during a state of emergency. These procedures reflect the requirements in N.J.A.C. 5:39-1.1 through 1.7, Emergency Remote Meeting Protocol for Local Public Bodies, to ensure that the Board can continue to conduct official business in an open and transparent manner whenever a declared emergency exists that prohibits physical attendance by members of the public.
The Planning Board reviews Applications for Development, for site plan and subdivision approval, during scheduled "Regular" meetings. Regular meetings are the first meeting of the month. The Planning Board holds "Workshop" meetings to discuss other Township planning initiatives, including redevelopment plans. Workshop meetings are the second meeting of the month.
All meetings will start at 7:00 p.m. on the dates listed below. The Board will meet remotely if a public health emergency, a state of emergency or a state or local disaster emergency has been declared by the Governor of New Jersey. Details to join remote meetings will be provided on the Planning Board webpage and posted on the bulletin board outside the door to the Montclair Township Municipal Building. Otherwise, the Board will meet in the Council Chamber at the Montclair Township Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Avenue, Montclair, New Jersey.
