Obtain a Motor Vehicle Crash Report
Motor vehicle crash reports completed by the Montclair Police Department are generally available within five to seven days. Reports involving serious injuries, disputed circumstances, additional evidence, or other investigative needs may take longer to complete.

Obtain a Crash Report Online

To obtain a digital copy of a crash report at any time, click the CrashDocs banner above or visit CrashDocs.org.

You will need:
  • The police report or reference number
  • The last name of an involved party
  • The date of the collision
Obtain a Report in Person
 
 Reports may also be obtained in person from:
  • Montclair Police Department – Records Bureau
    647 Bloomfield Avenue
    Montclair, NJ 07042
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Fee: $3 per copy
  • Accepted payment: Cash, check, or money order
