The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Montclair voters will elect a Councilor-At-Large at the General Election. Montclair residents interested in running for the Councilor-At-Large seat must be a registered voter in the Township of Montclair and have been a resident of the Township at least one year as of November 3, 2026. Nominating Petitions together with an information packet are available in the Office of the Township Clerk during normal business hours (8:30 A.M to 4:30 P.M), Monday through Friday (except holidays). Prospective candidates must first appoint a campaign treasurer and designate one campaign depository before accepting or expending any monies in connection with the forthcoming General Election. This is done by filing the name of the campaign treasurer and campaign depository with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC).
