Dear Residents,
In an effort to reduce litter scattered throughout the Township during high winds, the Montclair Department of Community Services (DCS) is issuing a High Wind Advisory for refuse and recycling, effective immediately for Monday, March 16, 2026.
Under this advisory, residents are asked not to place refuse or recycling at the curb until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17. DCS will begin collection at 7:00 a.m., allowing residents time in the morning to bring materials to the curb.
High wind advisory notices will be distributed through the Township alert system and posted on the Township website, social media, and TV34. In addition, Recycle Coach (link to Recycle Coach download page), Montclair’s collection notification app, will send alerts to subscribers reminding them to delay bringing refuse and recycling to the curb until 6:00 a.m.
