Boards and Commissions are standing bodies established by the Township Council. Most are established by ordinance, which outlines the purpose and duties of the various boards and commissions.
In addition to their defined roles, Boards and Commissions can also provide ongoing citizen input and advise council on matters they request. Appointment requirements vary by Board or Commission and may be made for one, two, three, and four-year terms. The appointments may be staggered to provide continuity on a particular Board or Commission.
Residents can volunteer for these advisory committees, contributing to the township's governance and community service.
The availability of budgeted funding or public hearings varies by Board or Commission. Visit each Board or Commission for additional information.
