Public Statements from the CRC

*Updated November 13 2023:

The Township of Montclair Civil Rights Commission is deeply distressed by the loss of life and atrocities in several conflicts globally. This includes (but is not limited to) the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Ukraine and the Middle East. We want to emphasize our support for respectful behavior and conduct by all parties in Montclair that wish to express their views on these topics. Within Montclair, there is no tolerance for hate speech, violence or terrorism (or support of these). The Civil Rights Commission also continues to condemn recent antisemitic actions experienced in our schools and in the township. Additionally, there is absolutely no tolerance of any kind for threats or harassment towards commissioners of the Civil Rights Commission.*
