2nd Ward Councilor Robin Schlager

Robin Schlager, originally from Queens, NY has lived in Montclair for the past 28 years. She along with her husband, Ken Schlager, who is the editor of our state’s largest consumer magazine, "New Jersey Monthly" are proud parents of their two grown children, both of whom are Mounties, graduates of Montclair High School.

Robin enjoyed a long career in the music business, working for "Billboard" magazine, Columbia Records and concert promoter, John Scher. In addition, she spent over 10 years as Associate Director of the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) raising millions of dollars for the Montclair Public Schools.

Currently, Robin is the Associate Director of Development for the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges.

Additionally she is a current member of the Board of School Estimate, the Planning Board and the Economic Development Committee , all which are township appointed.

She has served as the 2nd Ward Councilwoman from 2002-2008 and 2012 to the current time. She was Deputy Mayor from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2018.
