Cooling Centers & Heat Safety Information

Montclair cooling centers are open during the hours below to anyone seeking respite from the heat throughout the summer.
Please note: Due to the Independence Day holiday, the Montclair Public Library – Main Library will be open on Friday, July 3, during its regular hours (10 a.m.–6 p.m.) but will be closed on Saturday, July 4. The Bellevue Avenue Branch and the Township Municipal Building (Council Chambers) will be closed on both Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. If additional local cooling center options become available, we will share updates as soon as they are confirmed.
Residents can also find cooling centers throughout New Jersey by visiting NJ211.org or calling 2-1-1.
