Time: 9:00am - 1:00pm

Location:
Montclair High School - George Inness Annex Parking Lot (North Fullerton Ave)

The Office of Sustainability is pleased to announce Shred Fest 2025.  This event provides a secure and environmentally friendly way to dispose of sensitive documents. The event is free for Montclair residents : please provide proof of residency on arrival.

Documents containing paper clips, staples, envelope windows, and scotch tape are acceptable. Please remove any metal clasps, masking and duct tape.

Please read the following guidelines from Atlantic Coast Recycling, who will be on-site to shred your documents
  • For the safety of residents as well as employees, we can no longer accept anything in plastic bags as well as lawn leaf bags, large boxes or plastic garbage barrels.
  • Residents should bring documents in no more than 3-5 file boxes or paper grocery bags.

  • Stay in your cars until you are next in line to shred their paper. (Many people cut the line and either dump the material in the bin themselves without anyone looking at it for objectionable materials or just leave it on the ground and go).
  • Bring only confidential papers to shred. Every year we see newspapers, magazines, holiday cards, photos etc.
