Montclair Ambulance Unit’s Chief James Mazza was awarded the Prehospital Administrator of the Year Award by the New Jersey Department of Health’s Office of Emergency Medical Services at the National Conference on EMS held in Atlantic City. Chief Mazza is an outspoken advocate for the EMS profession and a skilled leader who guides Montclair Ambulance Unit to operate with flexibility and professionalism in an ever-changing space.

The award honors an EMS leader or Mobile Healthcare administrator from a local, county, regional, or state level who has made a positive contribution to patient care, public access to EMS, disaster preparedness, public education, and/or training. He has accomplished so much at MAU, in New Jersey and beyond. It’s exciting to see his leadership recognized.
