Special General Election on April 16, 2026 & Early Voting Information

The Special General Election to fill the vacancy in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District will be held on April 16, 2026.

The Essex County Board of Elections has designated the Municipal Building (205 Claremont Ave) as an official Early Voting site for this election.

Early voting will take place in Council Chambers on the following dates:

  • Monday, April 6, 2026 through Tuesday, April 14, 2026

Early Voting Hours:

  • Monday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of early voting for a convenient way to cast their ballot ahead of Election Day.
