Montclair Township is proactive in maintaining and expanding its affordable housing inventory. The Township has retained Acuity Consulting Services (ACS) to serve as the Administrative Agent responsible for managing the 120+ affordable housing units created through the Township’s affordable housing programs. One of ACS’s primary roles is to maintain the Township’s affordable housing waiting list for both sales and rental units. As new affordable units come online or currently occupied units become available, ACS will contact the next applicant on the waiting list whose household size, income and residency or employment location matches the unit type. Applicants must be under the maximum income limit for the available unit and meet other criteria established by State law.

Montclair’s waiting list for affordable housing is now open. All applications that were previously submitted are kept on file. Below is a link to the preliminary application which must be filled out to be placed on the waiting list.
