NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PURPOSE: The Township of Montclair is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Canterbury Park, located at 9 Planchet Drive in Montclair, Essex County, NJ 07042.

PROJECT SCOPE: The Township of Montclair proposes to renovate the playground, basketball court, pathways, benches, outdoor fitness equipment, and convert the tennis court into two (2) pickleball courts at Canterbury Park. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at: https://neglia.egnyte.com/fl/pBMbcw9h8hy9

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held in person, as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting at the Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Avenue, Montclair, New Jersey, which is scheduled to start at 5:30 PM.
