Please wait until after 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17 to put materials out. Collection will begin at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday to help prevent litter from being blown throughout the Township. Spring Hydrant Flushing Program Starting March 23 Published on March 10, 2026 The Township Water Bureau will begin its Spring Hydrant Inspection and Flushing Program on March 23, weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Residents may notice temporary water discoloration or reduced pressure while crews flush hydrants and water mains. Recreation & Housing Authority Offices Relocating Published on March 05, 2026 Montclair is relocating two municipal offices to improve services and create a new Senior Citizen Hub on the first floor of 205 Claremont Ave. The Recreation Department will move to 219 N. Fullerton Ave alongside the Department of Community Services, and the Housing Authority (Section 8) office will relocate to the third floor of the Municipal Building. Montclair Fire Department Operational Review – 2026 Published on February 23, 2026 In 2025, the Township commissioned an independent operational review of the Montclair Fire Department examining staffing, deployment, facilities, and service demand. The final report was presented in January 2026. Following review and consideration of the 2026 municipal budget, the Township Manager issued a memorandum outlining staffing and apparatus adjustments.
