Public Hearing: Canterbury Park Improvements

PURPOSE: The Township of Montclair is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Canterbury Park, located at 9 Planchet Drive in Montclair, Essex County, NJ 07042.

PROJECT SCOPE: The Township of Montclair proposes to renovate the playground, basketball court, pathways, benches, outdoor fitness equipment, and convert the tennis court into two (2) pickleball courts at Canterbury Park. PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held in person, as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting at the Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Avenue, Montclair, New Jersey, which is scheduled to start at 5:30 PM.
