The voter registration deadline for the April 16 Special General Election is Thursday, March 26. The Township Clerk’s Office will remain open until 9:00 p.m. to accept forms. Additional registration deadlines for the June Primary and November General Election are also approaching.

The Department of Planning and Community Development is responsible for all matters concerning planning, zoning, redevelopment and community development administration in the Township of Montclair.
The Montclair Township Planning Board has scheduled a public hearing to discuss the draft Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan (2025 – 2035) for Monday, May 5 at 7 pm in the Council Chambers at 205 Claremont Avenue. Members of the public will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments about the draft plan. The draft plan is available for review at the offices of the Township Clerk or the Department of Planning and Community Development weekdays between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
